WordSmith – Of Mics and Men

Of Mics and Men

In the spirit of fellow blogger A-Batte’s recent posts about free Wes-produced music, Michael Rosen ’11 invites you to check out the debut LP from our very own WordSmith:

Over the weekend, Josh Smith ’11 released his debut full length album Of Mics and Men. You may know Josh by his super-hero alter-ego transformer-awesome power ranger name WordSmith (as in WordSmith & The Concert G’s) from one of the many shows they’ve rocked on campus over the past few years. The album was produced exclusively by Jared Paul ’11 and features vocals from Lucy Strother ’11 and Katherine McDonald ’11.

The album is available for free via TheNewConfusion.com (www.TheNewConfusion.com/WordSmith) or you can stream it (and read a review by Davy Knittle ’11) after the jump.

(Also, it’s really, really good. So download it and tell all your friends.)

Wesleyan Zombies vs. Humans 2010

Sam Barth ’13 writes in:

Break out your nerf guns and marshmallows, because it’s time once again for Wesleyan’s Humans vs. Zombies game! In this game of extreme tag, humans (wearing armbands) have to outrun and outgun zombies (wearing headbands) until all the zombies starve. But if you get tagged… you become one of them. The game takes place 24/7 over all of campus until one side is victorious.

If you are interested in playing, join the Facebook group “Wesleyan Zombies vs. Humans 2010” to read the full rules and get yourself signed up.

And here are the “official” rules.

  • Date: Oct. 4 – Oct. 15
  • Time: 12:00 AM – 11:30 PM
  • Place: Everywhere on campus
