Submit to Hangman’s Lime

From The Lime:

Remember, it’s less than a week to Halloween! Which means it is also
less than a week until the deadline for the Hangman’s Lime. We’re
Wesleyan’s oldest all-poetry magazine, and we want any and all types
of poetry. We’ll consider up to five of your poems if you send them to
hangmanslime(at)gmail(dot)com by November 1st.

So submit! And tell everyone you know to do so as well. They only have
a few days left, after all…

  • Deadline: Midnight, November 1st, 2011
  • Place: hangmanslime(at)gmail(dot)com
  • Why: For the love of the written word

State of Snowmergency

There being no 6 AM all-campus text this morning, classes go on at Wesleyan. Snow and ice on the ground, snow and ice in the air (and ice storm warnings in the forecast). No word as of yet on operating hours or event cancellations.

Meanwhile, the City of Middletown has declared a state of emergency. From last night:

Mayor Sebastian Giuliano has declared a state of emergency starting at 9 p.m. this evening. The mayor anticipates the forecasted snow and icy conditions may cause extended power outages throughout the city. A city-wide parking ban is currently in effect.

Gallery Opening, “Caprice and Corruption”

How frisky did the 18th century get? Come check out the exhibition organized by students of last semester’s Museum Studies course and find out.

And of course, there will be food!
