5K for Brighter Dawns

Run for a cause! Help improve health conditions in the slums of
Bangladesh in the 3rd annual 5K for Brighter Dawns! The race will be
around campus, starting at the Usdan Courtyard. Take the race at any

Missed it last time? The picture above should fill you in. Holi is the
Festival of Color in India and we’re celebrating it right here at Wes
again this year! If you’ve ever dreamed of showering your friends,
frenemies and/or strangers with colorful powder, Saturday is your day.
Bags of powder are $1 each, and proceeds go to MINDS. There also will
be dancing and water balloons, free of charge. Be sure to get there at
3 to get powder in time for the countdown at 3:30!

Relive the Wesleyan Thinks Big Magic!

Hey Wesleyan,

For anyone of the sad souls who were unfortunate enough to have missed this spring’s Wesleyan Thinks Big event or thought that the liveblog (or lack there of – sorry, the chapel wifi was and still is super spotty) and the awesome Argus article was just not enough, here’s your chance to relive the WTB experience!

Wesleyan Thinks Big is basically a magical extravaganza of Ted Talks meets your favorite professors meets all the kittens, sloths, and babies in the world. The event happens every semester, so make sure you go next fall. Professor Gil Skillman (who spoke during the event last fall) returned to emcee this spring.

The videos from the event have recently been processed and uploaded onto Youtube by WesPregame (Thanks IMS, youdabest!). Here is the playlist to all five videos!

VegOut Mindful Meal

BuHo and WesFRESH invite you to a combined Mindful Meal and VegOut
this Friday evening! We’ll be cooking up a gigantic delicious
vegetarian, community meal cooked from locally sourced ingredients.
The mindful meal is an opportunity to thoughtfully reflect on the
processes that bring good food to our plates and beyond, considering
our meal as a part of much larger food system. We will take the time
to appreciate this holistic approach to thinking about food from farm
to fork to waste, all facets of the food movement represented on
campus. It’s a celebration of good food and good people!

For this VegOut we’ll be selling tickets in Usdan this week for $4 –
we’re hoping to make enough money to keep VegOut self-sustainable, so

reSET Social Enterprise Design Lab Info Session

reSET is launching a Social Enterprise Design Lab, and they are
looking for Wesleyan students to participate. Students with a business
idea or a curiosity about entrepreneurship overall are encouraged to
consider this. Participants will get training, networking, and other
resources, including possible grant money.

Ojala Naeem, Program Assistant at reSET, will be on campus this
Thursday, April 25, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Patricelli Center for
Social Entrepreneurship (Allbritton 021/022). Please drop by during
those hours, or contact PCSE Director Makaela Kingsley if you are
