Sign Up For WeSLAM’s 12-Hour Group Slam!

From WeSLAM:

I hope you all had relaxing, productive breaks because WeSLAM is back in action. Our next event is the 12-Hour Group Slam which will be occurring next Saturday, March 31st! What?! You don’t know what a 12-Hour Group Slam is?!? Well, here is a quick rundown of the event:

The 12-Hour Group Slam functions in a way similar to the 24-Hour Play Festival or 48-Hour Magazine. Essentially, we will collect a group of poets and split them into randomly-determined 2-person groups who will then proceed to write, edit, workshop, perfect, and slam a completely original group piece over the course of 12 hours. Groups will be randomly chosen, so please don’t come to this with the intention of writing with a certain person or with a piece already written. The point of the 12-Hour Group Slam is to promote the creation of collaborative new work and help you meet other poets in the Wesleyan community.

******To sign up please email Coz Berlin ’15 at cdeicke(at)wesleyan(dot)edu by TOMORROW (Wednesday, March 28th) at 5:00pm. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.******

The culminating event will be a single-round slam at the WestCo Lounge starting at 7:30pm this Saturday! It will follow the official WeSLAM rules (3m10s or less original poem, no props, no musical accompaniment, scores of 0.0 to 10.0, etc.). The winners will receive an avocado to split or something.
