Ben Keeshin ’14 writes in with this pun-y concert submission:

No one wears briefs….

We have three AWESOME newbies as well as our regular, old-timey cast of ROCKSTARS!

We have new songs, as well as a new, Bufordian take on an old favorite (@TheEmmaBufordFanCluband/orMafia)!

Bring your friends and your moms and your lovers and a Nalgene full of something and hear what Quasi’s been working on all semester. We’d love to have ya.

Date: Thursday, November 14th

9pm (till 9:30. That’s a study break!)

Ben Jacobs ’14, the dashing tall blond gentlemen whose eyes could be described accurately with the simile “like icebergs in the cold waters of the Arctic Sea, piercing hearts worldwide as icebergs pierced the hull of the Titanic on that dark and fateful night so many years ago, that night that shall forever live on in infamy layered with Leonardo DiCaprio and why didn’t they both just jump onto that door it would TOTALLY have held them for at LEAST long enough for help to arrive what a fucking stupid end to a movie” sends us this message from the Wesleyan Spirits:

The Wesleyan Spirits want YOU…

Especially if you’re a male who enjoys singing! The Wesleyan Spirits, Wesleyan’s oldest all-male a cappella group, is holding auditions for all dudes, homies, sk8er boiz, ballaz, hustlas, pimps, playas, bros, or all around good-guys with angelic voices. Vocal Debauchery Auditions

Haters Gonna Hate

From Cade Leebron ’14:

Dear Friends, Fans, and Freshmen (and every other class year too but we like alliteration),

We’re looking to get even more debaucherous, which we can only do with your help! If you can sing, and if you’re funny, hey let’s be friends! Stop by the Music Studios basement between 3 and 5 on Sunday (today) or 4:30-6:30 on Thursday! We’ll be the room full of people. All you need is a song to sing and a joke or funny story to tell (or another way to make us laugh). SOPRANOS AND BEATBOXERS are a thing we’re especially interested in, but everyone should come show us their stuff. Keep your clothes on, though.

Love,
Vocal Debauchery
PS if you for some reason can’t make the audition times, email cleebron@wesleyan.edu and we’ll try to make things work

Audition for Slavei

An urgent yet hilarious message for all musically inclined individuals who wish they could be Eastern European folk singers from Nathan Shane ’13:

You know you want to be a part of Wesleyan’s bestest, zaniest, hottest, oldest, prestigious-est Eastern European singing ensemble! And guess what? You can be. That’s right, Slavei is having auditions this Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 in Usdan 108. You do not need to prepare a song — just come as yourself and we’ll do some singing and a little talking and generally just have a good time.

Slavei sings some of the craziest/most interesting music that you will ever hear in your life. You will probably not get a chance to sing in an ensemble like this outside of Wesleyan, so you should do it!

We’re also the a capella group that uses the most instruments.

Date: Today, January 30
Time: 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Place: Usdan 108

Author’s note: Slavei is awesome. If you’re interested in a capella, audition for this.
