Oedipus Tyrannus, Oedipus at Colonus, and Antigone: three plays written over the lifetime of the great poet Sophocles chronicling the rise and fall of the ruling family of Thebes. Set in the humble Church of Thebes, this adaptation brings the three plays together to examine the family’s downfall and explore whose decisions sent them on that path.

Audition for Antigone

Antigone

From Nikki Dodd ’15:

Come audition for ANTIGONE, a haunting modern retelling of Sophocles’ classic text!

Please prepare a short monologue (dramatic preferred, but not
required) and be prepared to do some cold reading as well. If for  some reason a monologue isn’t possible, please prepare to tell us a  short (1-2 minute) story instead. Auditions shouldn’t last more than 10 minutes.

Cast is most likely [6m, 3f], although some of that is flexible.

The show will be on October 10-12
