Drive Manny Drive Auditions (Senior Thesis Film)

Come audition for Matt Shelley-Reade‘s senior thesis film DRIVE MANNY DRIVE

An uninspired voyeur stuck in suburbia. A driver’s test instructor out to get him. An overzealous father. And a sports car just waiting for him to pass his test. What would it look if you couldn’t pass your driver’s test to save the life of you and what if you had the same instructor every time? This short film tells a coming of age story of a young boy facing his own anxiety.

DATES & TIMES:

FRIDAY, 9/30: 3pm-4pm in Boger 112

You don’t need to prepare anything for the audition, just bring yourself! We’ll have sides for people to read. Rocky Horror Picture Show Auditions

Amazing costumes?? Dance with friends? Watch an amazing(ly bad) movie? If yes, then Absent Toast, Wesleyan’s only (and sexiest) Rocky Horror Shadowcast, is where you should be! The show is a low time commitment, once a week rehearsals, and one show on the last days of classes at midnight!

Auditions? Super low key. Just show up with some attitude!

“Calendar Year” explores the domestic, romantic and quietly dramatic lives of a couple living together over the course of a year.

Jodie and Peter have been together a while. Through the series, we witness their intimate conversations, little revelations ancalendar yeard maybe gain some insight into what it means to be “together.”

Sides will be provided and everyone is welcome regardless of experience.

Want to see your face on 16mm film? Audition for PHARMACEUTIKILLME, Mara Woods-Robinson‘s thesis film!

PHARMACEUTIKILLME is a dark comedy about teen angst, set in a pill-addicted suburban dystopia. Seeking GIRLS AGES 17-22 to play the lead role, a teenage girl disillusioned in her parents’ way of life. The shoot will be a 2-weekend commitment, Nov. 21-22 and Dec. 5-6. Compensation is copy/credit/meals.

Green Solutions is a dark comedy about two gardeners who discover a horrible secret in one of their clients’ backyards, leading them on a morally-shaky escapade of bad decisions.
The roles of our two protagonists are waiting to be filled. We’re looking for people who can make us smile, even in the face of terrible circumstances. So if you’ve got what it takes, then come on down and take a read!
Also, if you’re a scary looking guy, we can work around that too!!

Attention Wespeople! Do you sing? Are you able to carry a tune with OR without a bucket? Does the phrase “andante con moto” sound vaguely meaningful to you? If you answered “yes” to any of those, read on: the Silvernotes, currently Wesleyan’s newest acapella group, are holding auditions! If you’re free between 2 and 4 on Saturday or Sunday, or between 9 and 11 pm on Tuesday the 3rd, come by Exley 139 with a song and any music-reading skills you might have. If you’re not free at any of those times and still want to audition (especially if you’re a tenor or bass; we need that low range) then email sastern[at]wesleyan[dot]edu and we’ll see what we can do.
