It’s a cappella szn! Check out this audition notice from Quasimodal:
Quasimodal is looking for new members — lovers of voice and of music and of collaboration, come audition with us!!!!!! We will be holding auditions on Monday Sept 3th and Tuesday Sept. 4th from 6:30-8:30 in Boger Hall room 114 — across from Usdan
Quasimodal is a group of creative, kind and most importantly, sexy Wes students who love singing together and performing all-original arrangements. We are Wesleyan’s oldest coed acapella group; we sing music from across the genres, though always with a bit of soul.
For the audition, please prepare a part of a song that you love and feel showcases your voice. At most, come with a verse and a chorus or verse and a bridge.
Date: Monday, September 3rd; Tuesday, September 4th
Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
Place: Boger 114
Some time-warpin’ news from Lucy Rubin ’17:
Amazing costumes?? Dance with friends? Watch an amazing(ly bad) movie? If yes, then Absent Toast, Wesleyan’s only (and sexiest) Rocky Horror Shadowcast, is where you should be! The show is a low time commitment, once a week rehearsals, and one show on the last days of classes at midnight!
Auditions? Super low key. Just show up with some attitude!
Monday, February 13th from 7:30-9 @ Exley 150
Tuesday, February 14th from 7:30-9 @ Exley 150
Each audition shouldn’t take that long. Come by, feel the vibe, makes some friends, looking bangin in a corset.

From Jonathan Tang ’18:
“Calendar Year” explores the domestic, romantic and quietly dramatic lives of a couple living together over the course of a year.
Jodie and Peter have been together a while. Through the series, we witness their intimate conversations, little revelations and maybe gain some insight into what it means to be “together.”
Sides will be provided and everyone is welcome regardless of experience.

From Julia Berard ’17:
Complete this sequence: Judy Dench, Maggie Smith, Geoffrey Rush
Stumped? It’s not a list of people who have IBS. It’s not a list of terrible names for a chihuahua. It’s not a list of people I’m planning to wescam.
It IS a list of people who have had the opportunity to play Lady Bracknell in “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde, the most homoerotic playwright of the 19th century. As it is now, all of the people in this list got cast in the role and had the time of their lives…are you going to break the chain???
For those of you unfamiliar with this play, “The Importance of Being Earnest” is largely considered Wilde’s best play. This farce satirizes upper-middle class British culture in the 19th century with a plethora of puns, insults, mistaken identities, and of course, bunburries.
Now, you might be asking: how could this production be even more stupendous and queer? GREAT QUESTION. By gender-bending it, of course.
Date: Sunday, January 31st and Monday, February 1st
Time: 3-5pm and 4:30-6:30pm
Place: Usdan Multipurpose Room
