Seeking Performers for ‘Chill’ O-Week Event

chill_alternative

Alex “Vitruvian Man” Sakhno ’15 is hosting a ‘chill’ alternative to Bend it at Beckham. If you’re some kind of a performer, like a poet, comedian, musician, etc. and also would like to move in early, this is your opportunity! From the Sakh-man:

Looking for a chill alternative to the dance party scene? Drink a cup of coffee, listen to performers, intellectualize, philosophize, problematize…  or just relax.

Potential performers should contact asakhno[at]wesleyan[dot]edu. Performers would get to move in on 8/30; the event will be that night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Foss Cross Lives!…

…sort of. It’s been re-branded “Bend it at Beckham”–presumably because the event is now held in Fayerweather and not Mocon–but the essence remains the same. From the New Student Orientation schedule:

“It’s gender bending time! At Wes we are aware that gender can be expressed in a variety of ways, and one way it is expressed is through dress. So exchange clothes with your hall mates and challenge what gender is or should be. Pencil a moustache, don a wig, be as creative as you want, and come prepared to bend the gender binary in fun and fashion!”
