Hannah Cressy ’13 sez Espwesso will only be open Sunday, Monday and Tuesday this week instead of the usual Sunday to Thursday bit. As a reminder, Espwesso is located in the basement of Allbritton and is open from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and is now serving coffee from Pawtucket’s own New Harvest Coffee Roasters. Go Paw Sox!
Good news, coffee snobs fans! Espwesso’s benevolent dictator Jake Eichengreen ’13 tells us that in one last hurrah before break, Espwesso will be running a special promotion this week. Sunday to Wednesday this week between the hours of 9:00 and 10:30 p.m., members of one class will receive any item on the menu for free, starting Sunday night with Freshman and progressing up to seniors Wednesday night.
So, the schedule will be as follows:
Remember, kids, this is only between the hours of 9:00 and 10:30. If you don’t frequent Espwesso, you’re missing out on seriously delicious coffee in a seriously cozy spot. Take advantage of this opportunity to get to know the cafe, which is located on the bottom floor of Allbritton.
Greetings, readers. We’re reporting to you live from WestCo Cafe, where the esteemed and honorable Brendan O’Donnell ’14 is about to delve deep into the tales of his triumphs and travails in Chile last semester. If you’re not sure why this is a thing, here’s a bit of context from our event post this afternoon:
Some weeks ago, when Brendan O’Donnell ’14, otherwise known as BZOD, otherwise known as The King of Friends, made his triumphant return from Chile, I joked that he had so many people to catch up with, he should just have one huge catch-up session and get it all out at once. He replied that he was actually thinking of booking the CFA Hall for similar purposes (and our readers enthusiastically approved). Instead, he has opted to reserve WestCo Cafe.
According to Brendan, he declined to invite Michael Roth ’78, “and his dog was less than responsive.” Roth or no Roth, if you can’t make the event yourself, our livelog updates will appear past the jump.
The Wesleyan Student Cafe is going be opening be open for your late night study-fuel needs starting in late September. Here’s how you can help:
Help us come up with aname! There will be a poll once school starts, so help us brainstorm options now. Some ideas we’ve come up with: “The Red Bird”, “Red Eye Cafe”, “Cardinal’s Habit” and “Cardinal’s Cup”.
