If you are interested in spending a weekend recharging your Jewish spiritual batteries come to Jews in the Woods! The Wesleyan Jewish community has been invited to join college students from near and far for a weekend filled with peer learning opportunities, lots of time outside (weather permitting), some of the most spirited praying you’ve ever seen, and just about every other form of participatory Judaism you can think of. The retreat will be held at Camp Aldersgate in Scituate, RI.
For more information about this awesome opportunity, contact mkudlerflam(at)wesleyan(dot)edu or rschisler(at)wesleyan(dot)edu. To register, click here.
From Kiara Williams-Jones ’12 and the Women of Color Collective:
The Retreat is an annual tradition put on by the Women of Color House & the Collective. We will meet at Usdan at 10:45 AM on Saturday and return to campus by brunch time on Sunday. Transportation & meals will be provided; you will need to bring blanket/sleeping bag, pillow, and an overnight bag.
This is an amazing chance to chill and meet women of color across all the class years and to have some real conversations outside of school’s stressful atmosphere. If you’ve never been before, ask around. Someone you know has been. Even better, it’s free.
If you are interested, it’s not too late! Please sign the form here
Date: Saturday, January 28th – Sunday, January 29th 2012
Time: Meet at 10:45 AM
Place: Usdan –> Camp Jewell
