The Argus is Looking for a Business Manager!

Wesleyan’s student-run newspaper, The Argus, is looking for a new Business Manager. Not only is it a great opportunity to develop your finance, management, communication, and organizational skills, but it is a paid position and you get to hang out with the wonderful members of The Argus. The new manager will be briefly trained and then expected to take on the position independently in the spring.

The role includes:

  •  Planning semesterly budgets
  •  Submitting budget proposals to the SBC
  •  Meeting with the WSA to review Argus finances
  •  Communicating with the Argus production staff
  •  Managing weekly timeclock submissions

The Deans’ Office is looking for talented and motivated students to become Student Academic Resources (SAR) Peer Advisors for the 2014-2015 academic year. SAR Peer Advisors are sophomores, juniors and seniors who work during New Student Orientation (NSO) and throughout the academic year to support Wesleyan’s faculty advising program and enhance student access to academic resources through SAR. Peer Advisors will receive training, give individualized peer advice and facilitate workshops for groups of students regarding time management, public speaking, study and exam preparation strategies.
