The Career Center Wants to Employ You

Rachel Berman from the Career Center has a job for you:

Matt Donahue ‘14 (aka mister career center) is graduating and so are current Peer Career Advisors Esthefany Castillo ’14, Hazal Muhtar ’14Kah Wei Yoong ’14, Benjamin Carus ’14 and Ilir Necaj ’14. That’s a lot of graduating Peer Career Advisors and a LOT of room for you to join the Career Center staff. Not only is the PCA position a paid leadership opportunity where you get to advise your peers on the art of resume and cover letter writing, interact with cool Wes Alums and learn about job & internship opportunities as they come in to the center, but you get to work with (arguably) one of the best staffs on campus under the supervision of Rachel Berman (who is pretty much the best boss you could ask for).

Application deadline is SUNDAY, April 13, 2014 at 11:59pm on MyCC (see link) and ALL CLASS YEARS are welcome to apply. Questions? Email rMberman[at]wesleyan[dot]edu

From Samantha Sikder ’14:

Espwesso is hiring again!

Unfortunately, the senior members of our staff will soon be blooming and taking flight. We are still trying to convince them to take up residence in the Espwesso storage closet, barista-ing by night…

As of now, it looks like we are in need of some fresh, young, coffee-loving faces! Espwesso is seeking applicants who are passionate about coffee and excited to learn and master premium barista techniques. Apply to become a part of our sustainable mission to provide quality coffee to the community!

**Note: Espwesso will be closed this week, starting tomorrow, Jan 20. It will open again on Sunday night, Jan 26.**

Get paid to watch football!

Do you like football? More importantly, do you want to get paid $25 and receive free food for watching football?

The Wes athletic department is currently need of someone to keep defensive statistics at our four home games this season, starting with Saturday’s game against Middlebury. Your job would be to sit in the press box and identify the defensive players on each tackle (and blocked kick/punt, should there be one). The pay is $25 per game, plus indulgence in the free coffee/hot dogs/donuts/pretzels/Bon Appetit box lunches in the press box.

No prior experience with stats is necessary, though basic knowledge of football would obviously help.

Interested? Contact Wes sports information director Brian Katten ’79 at bkatten@wes.

(EDIT: We have filled the position. Thanks to everyone who responded!)
