Unofficial Orientation Series ’14: Eating and Drinking at Wes

*This post is an updated version of the Eating and Drinking installment of last year’s Orientation Series*

https://i1.wp.com/www.wesleyan.edu/dining/gallery/images/dining_header5.jpg?resize=625%2C125Eating and drinking is a necessity for all living beings, even during your hazy college days. While we all have to adjust our food standards from delicious home-cooked meals to university food, trust me, it could be worse. Wesleyan has many options for dining that you can enjoy regardless of your dietary orientation. Wesleyan was chosen the most vegan-friendly small US school by PETA, and our friends at the Mongolian Grill are always willing to cook-up a chicken tortilla topped with cheese if it’s protein that you want.

This is a part of the Unofficial Orientation Series 2014 to remind you to eat your veggies.

From Simon Riker ’14:

Psi U may not be throwing any parties these days, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve completely withdrawn into our four-story man cave.

Turn the tides, see the brothers you’ve been missing and enjoy a fresh, home-cooked meal at Psi U’s eating club, Chique Chaque, tomorrow (Wednesday night) at 6:30.  Entertainment will be provided by campus duo, The Blooming Youth (Alex Lough ’13 and Emma Daniels ’13).

The meal is lasagna (vegetarian too, don’t worry).
The price is 10 points.

IN 45 MINUTES: Sinners At Dinner! or One Night Food Affair

Piss drunk and looking for trouble, I logged on to facebook, looking for an Internet fight. When I made it clear to Ala Faller ’12 that this was my territory and she could pry my keyboard from my cold dead hands, she linked me to a page with the words below:

Desperate for good food, music, and an all expenses paid trip to Italy? Willing to settle for 2 of 3? Then come to Psi U this Wednesday for our 2nd DINNER AND A SHOW of the semester! Featuring the beautiful vocal stylings of Wesleyan’s own Cardinal Sinners, the music aspect is sure to provide the perfect early Wednesday evening entertainment. The Chique Chaque eating service (running since 1836) provides a great alternative to the monotonous Weswings specials and endless Summerfields burritos that have come to define your boring Wesleyan eating experience. Best part? Only 10 points!
You cant miss this event.
No excuses will be accepted.
