Something Happening on Church?

There are no less than four Middletown Police cruisers parked behind one suspicious looking vehicle on Church Street right outside the Rises. An officer is searching the vehicle, and there are three (civilian) people sitting on the ground by the cruisers (no handcuffs visible). There’s a K9 unit, and one of the dogs is barking incessantly. Some people are yelling rude things from a clearly identifiable apartment in Hi-Rise: “you in the uniform, you’re ugly! You suck!”

Anybody know what’s up?

Rampant Electric + Church Street Revue @ Earth House

Start your Saturday night with some tunes at Earth House:

Start off Saturday night with an awesome-infused concert at Earth House. First, Wesleyan’s own good time string band, the Church Street Revue, then the Wes premier of The Rampant Electric from New Rochelle! (Sam Backer ’11, Evan Scholl ’11, Chris Sheldon and Jake Backer).

The Rampant Electric are a deeply, spiritually, authentically non-ironically sweat-soaked rock and roll band. Their aim is to write pop music (high woos and all), and to play it as fast and hard as they possibly can. Until your eyes bleed harmony.

It’ll be done before 11:30, so come on time to hear some good music and get some valuable cardio. (The Rampant Electric will make you feel like the Mona Lisa made of coffee.)

Date: Saturday Nov. 7
Time: 9:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Place: Earth House
Cost: free
