Wesleyan University, like all academic communities, maintains certain standards of conduct, both academic and non-academic. The Honor Board is responsible for reviewing all alleged violations of the Code of Academic Conduct (as opposed to the SJB, which deals with the Code of Non-Academic Conduct).
The Honor Board is now accepting applications from the sophomore class for two openings on the Board for the next four semesters, starting in September, 2011.
All reports of alleged violations of the standards of academic conduct that constitute the Honor Code are adjudicated by the Honor Board. The Board exists to afford the protection of fair process to students alleged to have violated the Honor Code, to ensure that sanctions are commensurate with violations, and to promote uniformity in the handling of cases. The Honor Board also serves as a constant reminder of our institutional values. Please refer to the online student handbook for more information.
If you are interested in becoming part of this essential component of the Wesleyan academic community, complete the application form and submit it to Lorna Scott, at lscott(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.
Applications are due by 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2011
