This week’s question is about the most mysterious housing option available to sophomores:
I recently heard about some kind of housing in the butts that sounds vaguely like cope (co-op? coop?) for sophomores. Something about living with 5 of your friends on your own little hall. Is this real? Is it a good option for sophomores? How the hell do you say it?
You can read the answer to this week’s question below the jump!
Birds. You hear birds.
You wake up under the blazing sun. On your back. On the beach. The back of your mouth tastes funny; the bile is yours, but you’re not sure if the blood is. With whatever scintilla of strength you have, you lift your head up to assess bodily damage. Everything’s there. But for some reason, you’re dressed up like a bunny. And you’re pretty sure somebody jacked your liver.
Man. Being abroad is awesome.
But how are you ever going to tell this story? It’s hard, because there’s just so many details, feelings, and thoughts, and you just know that when somebody asks you, when you get back to campus, “how was abroad?,” you probably shouldn’t start with this story. Because if you do, you either sound like a liar, or a showy douchebag.
So what do you do? You keep a blog, much like three currently abroad Wes-souls who have sent us their links over the past few weeks. Click on to find out who they are, and what they’re up to.
A heads-up from Res-Life regarding BIG SCARY GRS DATES OH SHIT:
Beginning Friday, February 11, 2011 at 12:00 (noon) you will be able to access the General Room Selection site and explore your housing options for the 2011-2012 academic year. You enter GRS through your student portfolio by clicking on “Room Selection” under “Student Life at Wesleyan.”
Please remember two important dates that are rapidly approaching. All applications for Off-Campus Housing are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011. All applications for Program Housing and Community Based Living are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011.
And also, a note regarding Res-Life’s Copenhagen option for rising sophomores who aren’t afraid of the Big Bad Butts, which mistakenly lists it as “new to GRS” this year, which may confuse readers of today’s Argus features.
