Sean Curtice and Other Composers of 18th Century Music

From Sean Curtice ’12:

I have written a new Piano Concerto that soon will be premiered with the Wesleyan Orchestra and a special guest soloist.

It’s all very exciting, but I am still desperately seeking violinists, violists, a bassoonist, and a French horn player to perform in the concert. The remaining rehearsals will be in Crowell at 9pm on April 9, April 11, and at 4:30pm on April 12 before the concert itself. And there will be champagne and pizza from Mondo! Contact me at scurtice[at]wesleyan[dot]edu if interested.

Date: April 12th

7-9 p.m.

Join WesWinds – MUSC 443

Michael Brown ’11 has an opportunity for musicians playing wind ensemble instruments:

WesWinds is a wind ensemble that meets on Tuesday nights in Crowell Concert Hall from 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM.  No audition required; take it for credit or just for fun.  The music selections are eclectic, ranging from last semester’s classic military suites by Gustav Holst to last spring’s “Godzilla Eats Las Vegas”.  The group is open to the Middletown community as well.  Contact either the conductor (phadley(at)wesleyan(dot)edu) or me (mcbrown(at)wesleyan(dot)edu) with any questions. The first rehearsal is Tuesday, January 25.
