Terpsichore is bigger and badder than ever this semester and is looking for dancers (and choreographers) of all types, sizes, and experience levels to be part of an amazing dance community and performance!
The Terpsichore show is an extremely unique showcase of student dancing and choreography that occurs each semester. Any student can choose to choreograph a dance and will present a short phrase at the auditions. Anyone at the audition can try out for any and all pieces! Dances have included Dracula’s Wedding, Space Jam, ballet, modern dance, 80s workout videos, and some great hip-hop.

It’s a yoga dance party, speakers blasting Top 40s, and perhaps live music at the end. There will be food and coconut water/kombucha on tap. This late-night festival is an opportunity for the Wesleyan community to engage with what WesBAM! has to offer in a free, completely informal, fun, and dancing context. Last chance to get early housing help with an awesome Orientation event:
The annual “Bend it at Beckham” event is a cross-dressing dance party on the Friday of orientation. The event is publicized to freshman as “It’s gender bending time! At Wes, we are aware that gender can be expressed in a variety of ways, such as through attire. So exchange clothes with your hall mates and challenge what genis or should be. Pencil a moustache and don a wig; bend the gender binary as much or as little as you want at a dance party.”
We are looking for upperclassmen interested in dressing as either Drag Queens or Kings to dance and socialize at the event to create a sick atmosphere. The event will be on Friday 8/31 from 10PM-1AM. You will be ensured early housing, but you are responsible for creating your costume.
Applications are due by July 13th, but are accepted on a rolling basis as there are limited spots available, so apply now!
