Creative Submissions for Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemoration

On Sunday, April 27th, the Wesleyan Jewish Community will be organizing a commemoration for Holocaust Remembrance Day. We are organizing an exhibit of writings, artwork, and other creative pieces; the exhibit will consist of both pre-existing works and works by students. The exhibit will be accompanied by a poetry reading on Sunday afternoon.

We need volunteers both to submit original works and to read pieces:

1) We are looking for student submissions of any form- music, writing, poetry, art, etc. Your work does not have to relate directly to this theme; feel free to submit anything that you feel might contribute to a commemoration of this kind.
2) We are also looking for volunteers to read pre-existing poems/short prose pieces on Sunday afternoon as part of our commemoration program.

Email ifattal[at]wesleyan[dot]edu with submissions, or let us know that you’re interested in reading a pre-existing piece. Feel free to email with any questions or suggestions for the event as well.
