From Jess Cummings ’17:

BOOM! BANG! CRASH! What was that!? Have you ever destroyed something? Better question: have you ever created something? Better-er question:have you ever created something out of destruction? Do you want to? We are looking for artists (actors, dancers, movers, musicians, sound makers, ANY KIND OF ARTIST) who want to explore this concept with us.We will be putting up a show the weekend of October 1-3 that experiments with how we can destroy and how we can create.

Come to the Jones Room in the Theater Studios between 6:30 and 8:30 on Wednesday the 9th or Thursday the 10th to say hello and audition for us. We ask that you bring in a 90-120 second story from these three prompts: 1. about your first memory, 2. from the perspective of a person 100 years in the future, 3. describing a time you created something. If it can be memorized, that’s great! Feel free to tell us this story using whatever means you like. Come for the fun, stay for the fun (and also audition)

Halloween Party: Eclectic is Dead

An obituary written postmortem from Eclectic:

Since our inception, we’ve been digging graves. We’ve finally finished ours, now we just need some spiteful motherfuckers to dance all over it. Our death knells—can you smell it?— and the celebration begins on the 29th. Dress to kill, boo-boo, ’cause you know we will. All remaining Eclectic members die at the party. All living students get to help.
What: Dancing with SPECIAL GUEST FROM DFA RECORDS.
Where: 200 High Street.
Why: The only funeral you’ll have fun at.
How: Molly Ringwald
When: Oct. 29th
Time: 10:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online here. (Tickets will sell to capacity. Those without tickets will not be let in.)
