According to the Bayit, Simchat Torah is a chance to have an awesomely mind-blowing dance party. Because God commanded us to party.

Zach Valenti ’12 in Jimmy Fallon contest

Zach Valenti ’12 has entered a contest to become a college intern for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, with a self-produced and self-animated video explaining why he’s good for the job.

Zach plays up his familiarity with the Wes music scene (note the Wesleying screenshots), along with his involvement in the zany WestCo lifestyle and promoting DJ Bastille last year.

Anyway, the creativity in his video is much higher than the other standard webcam entries. Check it out, and click here to comment and rate it:

Confirmed: Brother Ali to play at Wes

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is true, Brother Ali will bring his unique blend of bouncing beats, wicked, insightful rhymes, and Midwestern panache to Wesleyan on April 11th. Wes’s own mix master DJ Bastille will open the show and be followed by Wordsmith and the Concert G’s sick, passionate combination of sharp lyrics and trumpet blasts. Props to the organizers, ICBM, for putting together an epic show.

MasqueRave At WestCo Cafe


DJ Michael Ullman ’12 is hosting a dance party this weekend featuring the DJ group Bastille. Bastille members are Ullman and Oberlin student Julien Benichou. Check out their facebook page to listen to the group’s music samples. Ullman received SBC funding, so the first 100 students to show up will get a free mask. If you want to be fashionably late, you are encouraged to make/buy/steal your own mask.
