Help Plan Wesleyan’s Relay For Life!

Ann Wheeler ’12 proves that good things do come around twice (not to imply they normally don’t or anything):

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature walking event, taking place in over 5,000 communities worldwide. Relay For Life joins together students, faculty, staff and alumni from over 484 colleges and universities worldwide to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. Teams take the track to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against this disease!
Each Relay is different but full of entertainment, activities, food, fun and games for all ages to enjoy.

Last year, Wesleyan hosted their first ever Relay For Life joining together over 200 participants and raising over $27,000 to help fight cancer!

We need as much help as possible to beat that this spring. If you’re interested at all in participating in or helping with this year’s Relay For Life please come to our first meeting of the year.

Date: Nov. 2
Time: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Place: Usdan 108

Check out the official site for the Relay here.

Help plan Wesleyan’s 2nd Relay for Life

Relay for LifeFrom Ann Wheeler ’12:

As many of you probably know, last spring was Wesleyan’s first ever Relay for Life. Together, we raised over $25,000 for the American Cancer Society! We set the bar high, but we can do even better this year with your help. Even though the Relay doesn’t take place until the spring, planning starts now. If you’re interested in getting involved (helping us plan, advertise, network, etc), or just learning about the event, please contact Ann Wheeler at awheeler(at)wesleyan(dot)edu or our American Cancer Society staff partner Christina Owczarek at Christina.Owczarek(at)cancer(dot)org. Thanks!
