WesGrub: Eating and Drinking Things on Campus

Our first installment! We at Wesleying are here to tell you all about stuffing your faces at Wesleyan as part of our Unofficial Orientation Series 2012. A tradition begun by the Wesleying legends Holly Wood ’08 and Xue Sun ’08, this post has evolved a bit over the years. I’m trying for brevity, so if these details aren’t enough for your Wes-crazed brains, then check out this post from 2011.

Everything after the jump:

Farmers’ Market, don’t miss out!

So, in case you missed the farmers’ market last week, you seriously missed out. I don’t want the same thing to happen to you again at the market tomorrow. Bon Appetit served up incredibly delicious local pork sandwiches and tofu with curry salad dressing, both on ciabatta bread. May or may not be salivating while reminiscing about it now. Not to mention the peach crisp and frozen apple cider. And, attention underclassmen: Bon Appetit will now accept points AND meals for their local lunch.

If that’s not enough to entice you to come to this week’s market (happening tomorrow), then just let this incredible list of vendors bring you out to the market with PLENTY OF CASH to spend.

  • apples from Horse Listeners Orchard
  • organic smoothies from Raw Youniverse
  • fresh produce from George Hall Farm
  • organic fair trade coffee from Shoreline Roasters

And, as you can see, the weather is supposed to be beautiful. Seriously, you need to be there. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. TOMORROW. Usdan Courtyard.

  • Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Farmer’s Market Sandwiches!

I don’t know what’s worse: that I’m blogging this with a completely empty stomach, or that I probably won’t be able to make the market.

Anyway, home-boys Will Levitt ’12 and Damiano Marchetti ’12 are back with an awesome sequel to their sandwich stand in today’s farmer’s market.

We’re back at the market. This week it’s a sweet potato sandwich with saucy coleslaw, radish and red onion on Howard’s baguette.

Love,
Will + Damiano
