Faye Driscoll: “Thank You for Coming—Attendance”

Faye Driscoll, Thank You For Coming work in progressFrom the CFA:

“Thank You For Coming,” a series of works by choreographer/director Faye Driscoll, focus on how you experience
yourself in relation to other bodies and the spaces you inhabit. During the Connecticut premiere of “Attendance,” dancers pass through ever-morphing states of physical entanglement. Intimately staged in the round, Ms. Driscoll crafts a heightened reality of observation, invitation, and interdependence. The audience and performers share a dynamic, joyful ritual of action and transformation. Ms. Driscoll was Wesleyan’s 2014-15 Creative Campus Fellow in Dance.

A very cool opportunity coming to you from Min Suh ’15:

If you are still looking to add another class, look here!! Repertory and Performance: Thank You For Coming is a very special course taught by visiting artist Faye Driscoll.

Here it is on Wesmaps: It says juniors and seniors only but ignore that—it is open to all students. This course is part of the Creative Campus Initiative, which means it won’t be the traditional lecture, sit in class, take exams, get a grade type of experience. I promise it’s going to be a lot of fun and you get to contribute to the research that she is doing for her next project.

Feel free to shoot me an email (ysuh(at)wesleyan(dot)edu) if you have questions.
