Help Macdonough Students Go to the Zoo

mcdonI think this is cool. A teacher from the Macdonough Elementary School just north of Wesleyan has begun a fundraising campaign to take her class of K-2 students on a field trip. She is raising money for her students to go visit the Bronx Zoo, a trip that would intersect with their literacy and science units.

The way this particular donation site works is that lots of small donations really help build visibility. So you could give $1 – $5 and help get Macdonough more visibility! As Ms. Currier says, “Demographics do not have to equal destiny. Together, I know we can make a difference for kids who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. This field trip will mean the world to them as we let the zoo capture their hearts.” Check out the campaign!
