Fuel yourself for finals with some Mexican food and benefit a volunteer trip:
This spring break, we will be traveling to Nicaragua to build an irrigation system for a cooperative in a rural community and study issues of international development. We are trying to fundraise as much as possible since the cost of the trip includes a grant to the partner organization in Nicaragua.
We will be volunteering through American Jewish World Service which is an international development organization motivated by Judaism’s imperative to pursue justice. AJWS is dedicated to alleviating poverty, hunger and disease among the people of the developing world regardless of race, religion or nationality.
La Boca has generously offered to donate a portion of their profits from the night of Monday, the 14th, to our trip. We would really appreciate your support by eating there. Make sure to mention you are affiliated with Wesleyan.
Date: Monday, December 14th
Place: La Boca – 520 Main Street
Remember to mention you are from Wesleyan
