WeSLAM Presents the Haiku Bake Sale

poetry cake

WeSLAM knows that your favorite flavor of cupcake is haiku:

We’re back with the Haiku Bake Sale! Here’s how it works: for $2, you get to pick a delicious treat (we have some lemon bars, gluten-free oatmeal cherry chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes and oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies – all homemade, all delicious) and a beautiful, charming and talented wordsmith will write you a haiku on-the-spot. Give them a word and they’ll make some sweet, sweet poetry out of it. Also, last year’s WeSLAM chapbooks will be available for purchase on a pay-what-you-want basis.

As is poetry, so why

Not have two at once?

Wesleyan Spirits Auditions

Wait, seriously? You haven’t picked your top 12 a capella groups to audition for yet? At this point, if you have anything less than 8 groups listed, you aren’t even trying. You’re lucky Brian Lee ’13 is here to save your lazy ass.

The Wesleyan Spirits Want You…

…But only if you’re male and enjoy singing… and college a cappella. The Wesleyan Spirits, Wesleyan’s oldest and all-male a cappella group, are holding auditions for any dudes, homies, sk8er boiz, ballas, hustlas, pimps, playas, bros, or all around good-guys with angelic voices.

Bring something to sing, a funny joke or haiku, a pen, and anything else that makes you feel special.

When: This Wednesday & Thursday 6:30-8:30 PM
Where: Alpha Delta Phi Greene Room (Corner of Church & High)
