Navigating Relationship Transitions: Break-ups and Beyond

Some wise words from our Sexual Violence Resource Coordinator, Alysha Warren

We grow and evolve throughout our lives. Along with these personal shifts come shifts in our relationships –- we transition in and out of romantic relationships, becoming closer with some friends and drifting away from others. Although this is a common experience, transitions can be painful. Come join us in an interactive discussion about picking up the pieces and moving forward, evaluating lessons learned and answering the age old question, “Can we still be friends?”

Place: Downey House Lounge

Red Flag Campaign

The Sexual Violence Action Committee (SVAC) and Counseling and Psychological Services are coming together to launch the Red Flag Campaign as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Keep an eye out for the flags and posters that will be scattered around campus, and use them as a reminder to speak up when you see problematic behaviors in relationships. Oh, and come lend us a hand at dinner in Usdan during the week of October 22nd – we’re making a mural. The Campaign will be wrapped up on Monday, October 29th from 7-9pm with an Open Mic focused on relationships, relationship violence and sexual violence. More details about location coming soon.
