It’s spring break! Which means either you’re leaving or you’re staying and if you’re in the latter group you’re probably wondering where you’re going to get your food from in the next few days. This could be the week where, if you’re a freshman, you use all your points or the week you learn to cook. Both equally exciting endeavors. I’ve outlined below what’s going to be open and what’s going to be closed and at what times the open things will be open. Just look for the place you want to eat at and then check the hours. Hint: if the place is not Weshop it probably won’t be open. If you feel like you need to see this information in chart form you can do so on the websites of each place here: (Bon Appetit, WesWings & Red and Black, Libraries).
If you’re staying on campus for the next two weeks or so, or even just hanging out for a few days, don’t worry. You’re not alone. Many a senior will be working frantically in order to finish their theses before April 12. Many other people, like me, will be on campus to make sweet cash and/or sit around. Besides, the weather is much better this year than it was last year, when giant frozen banks of snow were still everywhere, and we were all worried Spring Fling would never happen.
Since this is a pretty popular break for people to stay on campus, Weshop (with reduced hours) and Red and Black will be open Monday through Friday, but all other dining services will be closed from March 5-19.
Not only is our online, anonymous chat service back on our website and better than ever, but 8-to-8 is undergoing lots of exciting new changes! Please bear with us during this time of transition.
For the remainder of the semester, we will still be available on the phone from 7 PM to 7 AM Sundays through Thursdays, but our Friday and Saturday phone hours are changing: we will now be available on the phone (860-685-7789) from 7 PM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Please remember, though, that we are still available on chat every night of the week from 7 PM to 2 AM, and always will be! Feel free to call or send us a chat if you need someone to listen–we’re here for everything, big or small. Thanks for being patient with us!
