Connect Kids to Real Food — FoodCorps Information Session

FoodCorps, nationwide service network dedicated to healthy food, is having an information session on campus:

FoodCorps is a nationwide team of leaders that connects kids to real food and helps them grow up healthy.

We do that by placing motivated leaders in limited-resource communities for a year of public service. Working under the direction of local partner organizations, we implement a three-ingredient recipe for healthy kids. Our service members:
– Teach kids about what healthy food is and where it comes from
– Build and tend school gardens
– Bring high-quality local food into public school cafeterias

FoodCorps is in Connecticut! We have 12 service members are doing this work in school districts across the state. Come learn about FoodCorps, what is happening in Connecticut, and how you can get involved!

Vicious Circles, Wesleyan’s All-Women Ultimate Frisbee team, is having an information session on January 30th, at 7PM in Wyllys 114. We will discuss our pre-season workouts, awesome spring break trip (which you could still sign up for!), regular season practice and game schedule, parties, and why you should join this incredibly fun club sport. Clinic Escorts Training

Clinic Escorts will be holding two training and information sessions, Thursday Jan 30th at 7 and Friday Feb 7th at noon, both in 41 Wyllys Room 110.

Clinic escorts is a low commitment way to support women’s right to choose. We go three times a week in groups of four to a clinic in Bridgeport. Our job is to escort the women from their cars to the clinic door as they are berated by antis. We do not engage with the antis. YOU ONLY NEED TO VOLUNTEER ONCE A SEMESTER :) Bring your friends!
