This Friday, December 3rd at 11 PM, the band Ishmael will be playing at Earth House, the spot of their first ever concert on campus. The concert should begin just as Harry and the Potters and other events on campus are letting out. The band will play a batch of new and old songs, and promises that the show will be high energy and real fun.
They’re back! This Saturday night at the Music House, be sure to catch Ishmael The Band, presenting their first experience of the year. The band is excited to be back at Wesleyan and to be presented by the Radical Performance Machine. A wonderful time will ensue.
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, not only is (omg) the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity reaching into their substantial funds to sponsor this year’s April music and arts festival in WestCo’s courtyard, but (omg) DAN DEACON is headlining the show.
A two-hour, flippin’ A (for auditory!!!!!!) excursion into the wonderful world of hella dank and hippity happenin’ music. If you like the Jonas Brothers (affectionately, “The Jo Bros”), live for every time you hear Carrie Underwood diggin’ her key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four wheel drive, or voted for Clay Aiken over 30 times consecutively CAUSE YOU JUST LOVE CLAYMATION OMFGGGG — this is not the show for you!
But if you love Brooklyn indie pop band Beach Fossils and Wesleyan student opening band Ishmael this is the show for you.
Date: Saturday, April 3 Time: 11:00 PM – 1:00 AM Place: WestCo Cafe Music House (316 Wash)
Oh, spring break. Weather’s getting warm, trees are budding, flowers are blooming, and birds are chirping. And taking a hint from those baby birds who are taking wing and flying from the nest, Wes bands Duchampion, The Last Minutes, Apache Kid, Metacomet, and Ishmael are using this break as an opportunity to sing their songs in new and exciting locations. For those of you in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia who are feeling a little homesick for Wesleyan already, check out the tour dates after the jump to see when you’ll have the opportunity for a little Wes love. I’m not listing college shows, as they might not be accessible… Oh, and Aural Wes put up a similar post with some more info on some of the bands, so if you’re curious about any of the individual bands you should check that out here.
