If you’ve ever tried to write something for a language class and didn’t know about WordReference, or jokingly began a facebook chat conversation with someone in another language only for things to start flying above your head, or wanted to understand the critical 45-second exposition in that one hour German porn flick you ju–well, you get the point. You’ve probably used Google to translate something at one point in time, and you’ve probably at least heard of someone trying to do the same, only to have a sneaking suspicion that whatever it spit out wasn’t quite right.
