First Friday: Making the Science Documentary

Please join us at the Center for Community Partnerships’ First Friday Series. This year we are highlighting a variety of service-learning courses.

This month: Making the Film Documentary (FILM 140/MB&B 140)
Presenters: Manju Hingorani and Jacob Bricca

This course is designed to teach students about the challenges of communicating science-related issues through visual media. In spring 2009 the class produced documentaries about nursing. Portions of the documentaries will be shown.

Green Street’s Sunday Salon: Science and Film

Join Professors Manju Hingorani and Bob Lane as they discuss the intersection of science and film.

The professors have recently developed a general education course at Wesleyan in which science students collaborate with film students in the making of science documentaries, including writing, filming, and editing.
