Pining for the fjords?

Join us at Outhouse (132 High St) this Tuesday at 10pm for the first Outing Club meeting of the semester. There are a lot of great things about Wesleyan Outing Club – gooey baked things at every Tuesday meeting, access to an attic full of gear for your adventures, and the opportunity to meet other outdoor-minded people and plan adventures together, just to name a few! Outing Club is open to EVERYONE, and you can come to as many or as few meetings as you like. Each week at meeting we will begin putting a list of outings together for the week, which will be sent out later that week to the listserv, for anyone to hop on! Come hit the trails with us ;)

Date: Tuesday, September 15th
Time: 10:00pm – 11:00pm
Place: Outhouse (132 High Street)

From Hilary Brumberg  ’17:

Do you love hiking, trees, forests, being outdoors, fresh air, children, the color green, friends, or cookies? If so, come to the Wesleyan Connecticut Forest and Parks Association first meeting of the semester! We are excited to get together a crew of people to be certified as trail crew leaders, plan some maintenance trips, and discuss hiking and educational events! If you know you want to help with some or all of these things, have an idea of your own, or have never been a part of WesCFPA, we’d love it if you came by.

The meeting will be on Wednesday, February 11 at 4:30 in the OCS lounge (3rd floor Allbritton). There will be cookies and hot apple cider. If you can’t come to the meeting, but are still interested in being involved in WesCFPA, contact Erin at emcgrath(at)wesleyan(dot)edu or Hilary at hbrumberg(at)wesleyan(dot)edu.

Outing Club Meeting

Ever wonder about what’s on the other side of the Bubble? Spent semester(s) in Connecticut without exploring the surrounding area at all? It’s time to change all that and the Outing Club is here to help! All levels of experience in outdoor activities welcome.

Whether it’s a canoe paddle ’round Millers Pond, a stroll up to the top of Mt. Higby (above), a rock climbing adventure or just generally goofing off outdoors, we do it all. And we’re always open to new ideas! So gather up your friends or come alone to the first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, February 7 at 10 pm. As always, the meeting will be held in the cozy Outhouse living room (132 High Street, just a few houses down from WesWings). If you can’t make it to this one though, no worries! We’ll be having meetings EVERY TUESDAY at 10pm; newcomers always welcome. So stop on by, hang out, talk about places you want to go and things you want to do, drink hot cocoa, play some games, meet new people and bemoan the current status of snow in Connecticut (i.e. seriously lacking). Questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, want to be on our mailing list or lead your own outing? Email wesoutingclub(at)gmail(dot)com.

Date: Tuesday, February 7
Time: 10 PM – 11 PM
