Historical Narratives Preliminary Meeting Today, 9:30 PM

Submitted by Sarah Dash ’14:

Historical Narratives is a peer-edited journal of history papers. Once a year, we publish a book (usually somewhere between 150 and 200 pages) of 4-6 history papers written by our peers. As editors, we solicit papers and meet a few (usually two or three) times each semester. We read through the papers we get and eventually whittle it down to a final 8-12 papers that we deliberate about in the spring semester to ultimately decide which papers we publish.

If you like history, join us! There are only 2-3 meetings each semester, you’ll get a chance to read interesting history papers and, depending on the crop we get, the opportunity to argue passionately to defend the papers you like and ultimately shape the journal.

We’ll be having a preliminary meeting at 9:30 PM TODAY in Allbritton 304. We’ll field any questions you may have and will get the ball rolling on our submission drives. Come by if you’re interested, or email one of the editors-in-chief: Sarah Dash ’14, sdash[at]wesleyan[dot]edu; Ali Ozols ’14, aozols[at]wesleyan[dot]edu; or Brendan O’Donnell ’14, bzodonnell[at]wesleyan[dot]edu.

Date: Tuesday, September 17
Time: 9:30 PM – 10:15 PM
Place: Allbritton 304
