From Stellar ‘in-her-moccasins’ Levy ’15:
Precision Dance Company is looking for new members! This year marks our 20th anniversary, and we want you to help us celebrate in style.
All levels of experience welcome! No need to prepare anything, just come ready to move.
Precision Dance Company is made up of two separate groups:
TROUPE is the hip hop division of the company which puts on a semi-annual performance in a party setting and performs a range of styles including house, waacking, locking, and tons of twerking.
ENSEMBLE is the company’s contemporary division which puts on an annual show in the ’92 Theater each Spring. Pieces are original and generally contemporary, but also have some modern, ballet, tap, and jazz flair for good measure.
Audition dates and times are as follows:
This week’s edition of “Mike Nakhla ’13 Takes Some Pretty Excellent Photos and We Lazily Repost Them For You” features the April 19 dance performance by Precision Troupe, one of Wesleyan’s oldest dance companies, which performs once a year in a party setting. These shots were taken at Psi U.
For more of Nakhla’s work, click here or check out his website. He does weddings! Get engaged so you can hire him! Get engaged to him!
From Stellar Levy ’15:
Precision Troupe is BACK, coming at you with our annual spring performance!
Party starts at 10pm. Performance starts at 11:30pm sharp!

Special thanks to the brothers of Psi U for hosting us!
FYI: Precision Dance Company is one of Wesleyan’s oldest dance companies and consists of two counterparts: contemporary-based Ensemble and hip-hop-based Troupe. Ensemble puts on a show every spring in the ’92 Theater and Troupe performs once per semester in a party setting.
We’re #1. :)

From Stellar Levy ’15 who copied and pasted this from the FB event:
Know those three kids in hats dancing their asses off to Dance (Ass)? Know those ten girls who bounced with sass to Valerie?
Well, we want you.
If you are a dancer, like to dance, or think you can dance, come audition for Precision, a collective with two equally awesome sides (Ensemble and Troupe) looking for new members. You can audition for either or both!
Ensemble is a group whose dancers put on, dance in, and choreograph for a yearly performance in the spring. The style is generally contemporary, but we’ve been known to throw in some ballet, jazz, and whatever else comes to mind.
Troupe is a hip-hop group whose dancers also put on, perform in, and choreograph for a performance each semester.
Date: Saturday, October 6
Time: Troupe audition 4-5 pm, Ensemble audition 5-6 pm
Place: Schonberg Dance Studio (on Pine St.)
Prepare to be one-upped. These dancers definitely outclass you shaking your whatever at Psi U. Kelsey Siegel ’13 has the details:

Cynthia Tong ’14, in the library, with a candlestick, and a bazooka. She writes,
It’s a collaboration woot.
Date: Friday, May 4th
Place: Steps of Albritton
Time: 10pm – 11pm
Rain site: Exley Lobzz
Update: According to a comment left by the organizers, apparently the event will definitely be in Exley.
Alo! Once again, professional Asian baby peddler Cynthia Tong ’14 writes in to inform us about this thing that’s going on this weekend. If you’re in any way interested in bright colors, exclamation points, booty-shaking, and the ’70s Queen of Funk, listen up.
Precision Ensemble, a seriously whacked-out student dance troupe, is holding shows this coming Friday and Saturday night at the Memorial Chapel. It’s free, it’s fabulous, and it’s on Facebook (god I love alliterations). Furthermore, it’s only a half hour long, so you can totally hit it up and then stumble off elsewhere to chase the night. ALSO! They’re holding a dance workshop on Saturday at the Fayerweather dance room – also free – where they will teach moves from one of their dances.
Sounds good? Here’s one more selling point: I don’t know about you, but considering the vivacious spectrum of colors they will be donning, heck, the Friday show will be probably be friggin’ sweet.
Day: Friday (show), Saturday (show and workshop)
Time: 8pm (shows), 3pm-4pm (workshop)
Place: Memorial Chapel (show), Fayerweather Dance Room (workshop)
Sponsored by The Adelphic Educational Fund, SALD and ResLife
