WOW it’s already happening. Tonight at midnight, when reading period turns to exam period, is the PRIMAL SCREAM on the steps of Olin. Here’s the Facebook event if you’d like that. Shoutout to Arron Luo ’18 for making sure this gets coordinated for the past couple semesters and for keeping this Wes tradition alive.

the primal scream now has an election day-after sibling.
well. election day was yesterday. the tangerine mussolini will apparently be our president, and america will have a kkk-endorsed white nationalist and sexual assault perpetrator (among so many other horrible things) in the white house. i, for one, am disheartened by this news but not at all surprised.
while some primal screams may have already been organized, there’s definitely one happening tonight on foss, in the heart of campus.
the facebook event says that it lasts from 11PM tonight to 11PM tomorrow, so i’m assuming you can go to foss and scream whenever you want, but i think tonight will be the biggest opportunity for solidarity.
just remember that it doesn’t stop here. be there for your fellow students who are hurting. for everyone who’s queer, trans, a person of color, muslim, a sexual assault survivor, an immigrant, the children of immigrants, a person with a disability.
fight like hell.

If you, like the enterprising Harim Jung ’16 and the fb hosts they crowdsourced, want to deal with your problems by screaming, come to the Olin steps at midnight tonight to partake in a time-honored Wes tradition. Well, somebody fucked up.
Yesterday was the last (full) day of reading period since the first final is today (Tuesday) at 7:00 PM. There was supposed to be a Primal Scream at midnight. It ended up being sqwermy, me, and three other people chilling outside Olin screaming for ten seconds.
So we’re doing it again. Tonight. That means “when Tuesday turns to Wednesday, be outside Olin and scream.” Exactly at midnight. There will be a countdown.

Dozens of students poured out of Olin and raced across Church Street last night at approximately 11:58 pm to take part in the midnight Primal Scream. The screaming, lasting way longer than I’d originally anticipated, was followed by a rowdy rendition of the Wesleyan Fight Song (awkward moment when the girl in front of me tried to start the fight song and was cut off by a couple of guys singing the fight song louder).
To all of you with finals (and especially you peeps with 7 pm finals tonight), may the odds be ever in your favor.
