Pumpkin Fest at Long Lane Farm!

pumpkinPumpkin Fest at Long Lane Farm, the annual event for Wes students and the greater Mtown community, is on Halloween this year, timelier than ever.

With BANDS, FREE FOOD, crafts, Farmer’s market vendors, student groups, farming, beekeeping, and tours of the farm.

Underclassmen who’ve never been to Long Lane, now’s the time! It’s awesome that this large piece of land exists technically on campus, just a short walk up Cross Street, past the Athletic Center, to the left down Long Lane Road; go see it.

Pumpkin Fest seeks bands, student groups

Long Lane Farm‘s annual Pumpkin Fest, a Wesleyan/Middletown fall celebration with music, food, arts and crafts, and environmental awareness, is happening on Halloween this year, which means even more fun and festivities than previous years.

You can be part of, by performing or having a table:

Pumpkin Fest this weekend – a movie, a lecture, and a Saturday fall festival at Long Lane Farm:

Movie: Power of Community

This movie is about How Cuba survived and thrived after the fall of the Soviet Union. Power of Community Shows redistributed Land, revamped their healthcare system, and reorganized their public transportation system.

Pumpkin Fest

Fall Festival with bands The Shade, Waterwheel, Poor Pluto, and Matabasset String Society. There will be Free Food! Local Vendors! Crafts! Fall Fun!

(Instructions: If you follow Cross St. around a bend past the Freeman Center, it turns into Long Lane. Keep walking, and it’s on the corner of Wadsworth and Long Lane.)

Keith McHenry will be speaking. He a co-founder of “Food Not Bombs”, a world wide organization dedicated to the redistribution of food and social justice and peace.

Pumpkin Fest at Long Lane Farm
