Bill Belichick Signed Football Helmet Raffle

WesStuffed is doing a huge Valentine’s Day raffle! We’re selling tickets for $1 at Usdan lunch from 11 AM–1 PM every day this week, and will also be at Espwesso selling tickets from 9–11 PM. We have over ten prizes, including $50 gift certificates to restaurants like Mondo, free ice cream, frozen yogurt, cupcakes, and more!

Fall Break Transportation Raffle

Traveling off-campus for fall break? The Wesleyan Sustainability Office has teamed up with CT Rides, a state transportation program, to encourage you to take the bus, train, shuttle, or carpool whenever you go off campus. To give you an extra incentive for fall break, CT Rides is holding a free raffle for a $25 Amtrak gift card for anyone who signs up for its NuRide incentive program or takes alternative transportation over break.

There are 4 ways to enter (one entry per person):
1. Sign up for NuRide at the CT Rides table on October 9th from 11:30-1:30 or email Alexandra.Bernier[at]ctrides[dot]com.
2. Offer or ask for a ride on the Rideboard between October 9-23.
3. Sign up for one of the shuttles to Bradley Airport, New Haven Train Station, New York City, or Boston by October 16th.
4. Share how you’re traveling sustainably over break with the Sustainability Office at the CT Rides table on October 9th, post it on Facebook (wesleyansustainability), or email us at sustainability[at]wesleyan[dot]edu by October 17th.

UCAB Presents: Music and S’mores

It’s that time again, friends. Music, Marshmallows, Chocolate, Graham Crackers, S’mores, Redundancy – we’ll have it all this Thursday.

The band ONE TRACK MIND will be playing a set while you get your s’mores on and hang out with your friends. The event is free, including the raffle to win some delectable prizes. So what are you doing this Thursday? Charring some marshmallow fluff and rocking out – that’s what.

Hey Everyone! Thanks for those who entered the raffle, we raised $85 dollars for a great cause! The winners have been picked and contacted. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who generously donated and entered the raffle!

Tonight: Movie Screening and Snow Cones

This sounds cool (literally, LOL):

UCAB will be showing the movie Happy Feet in honor of penguin awesomeness and the end of the coldest part of winter…
There will be a snow cone machine along with popcorn and movie candy. There will also be a raffle to win various movies and itunes gift cards!

V-Week Fundraising

Curious where tables selling the delicious vagina-shaped goods of Vagina Week* fundraising will be? Monica Vitti ’12 writes in to tell us about the this years operations (which started yesterday):

V-Day volunteers will be selling chocolate vaginas, vagina cupcakes, vagina cookies, and other baked goods. We will also be selling raffle tickets. General raffle tickets are $2 and prizes include:

• a gift certificate to yoga in Middletown
• tequila from forest liquor (with id)
• a bike helmet from pedal power
• a gift certificate for café ology
• a gift certificate for typhoon
• a gift certificate to laser tag
• a gift certificate to la boca
• movie tickets for destina

There is a separate raffle to win dinner with Professor Demetrius Eudell; tickets are $3.

Proceeds will benefit a local shelter. The table will be there during mealtimes (11 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 8 pm) at Usdan all this week (it started Monday) through Friday the 13th. There will also be people selling things at Olin from 9-11 pm.

I grabbed a piece of baklava yesterday. It was amazing. For those of you who don’t know what baklava is, I suggest you support a good cause and find out.
