ORCHESTRATING ORGASMS: An OhMegan Production!

OH SNAP OH MEGAN IS COMING BACK.

That’s right! The PHAs present Oh Megan’s Orchestrating Orgasms, a new workshop just for Wesleyan students! Not just is this workshop bound to be absolutely amazing, but Megan will be bringing vibrators and lube for the number of people that RSVP on facebook and show up early to the event! Come out on World AIDS Day to support keeping Wes safe and sexy!

Freud talked to us about the appropriate “types,” pop culture magazines scream from the shelves that we could be having better ones, and many people experience deep guilt in their quest to experience them. Still, what actually ARE orgasms? For something so celebrated, very few individuals can give a straight definition; people are seemingly just supposed to be grateful if they have them!

The simultaneous mystery and ubiquity of “The Big O” has created a fascination with orgasms, but hasn’t provided a perfect answer to the big questions people ask about them. Fortunately, Oh Megan is here to help!

In this captivating workshop, you will learn about the biological, psychological and sociological issues surrounding orgasms. What types of orgasms are there? How can one have more orgasms? Why do they feel so good? Why do some people struggle to have them? With the use of images, participation, videos, and genital models, Orchestrating Orgasms will bring down the house in a perfect symphony.

Date: Thursday, December 1st, 2011
Time: 7PM (although we recommend you show up early!)
Place: Exley 150
WHERE DO I RSVP FOR MY FREE SEX TOY???: Right here!

Planned Parenthood Rally: Recap and More Photos

More than 300 Wesleyan students (in addition to students from Southern Connecticut State U, Eastern Connecticut State U, Trinity College, and Conn College) filled the Tishler Lecture Hall this afternoon to support Planned Parenthood and listen to speeches by Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Southern New England Judy Tabar, President of Wesleyan Michael Roth, Planned Parenthood Campus Interns Zak Kirwood ’12 and Susanna Banks ’13, Alex Ketchum ’12, and Hannah Adams ’13 (daughter of PP’s national president, Richards).

In case you didn’t hear, House Republicans voted to completely defund Planned Parenthood last Saturday. (If you don’t know about PP, now you know.) If the Senate passes the spending bill to which is attached (which it likely/hopefully won’t due to the Democractic majority), millions of Americans will lose an invaluable source of affordable primary and preventive sexual health services. A fact that was shared repeatedly at the rally is helpful here: 1 in 5 women have gone to a Planned Parenthood clinic for health services.

More details, quotes, and photos after the jump.

Sex Questions Answered!

Megan Andelloux, who will be landing the magical Sex Education Jet on Wesleyan’s tarmac tomorrow night, has a new Youtube channel up.

In each video, she answers an anonymous question from one of her audiences which she didn’t have time to answer during a presentation. Whatever your awkward questions, if you’re a sex nerd, or if you’re trying educate yourself while avoiding homework… between Megan’s videos and her workshop on sex toys tomorrow night, you should be set. Below is her first video, in which she answers a question about putting starbusts in a vagina (and answers seriously, respectfully, and scientifically, at that).

Fantastic.
