The Peer Advisors are back. Only this time, they’re in a music video. And with a bit more… sex tests? Enjoy, and stay safe get back to work.

The Student Academic Resource Center (SARN) is looking for talented and motivated students to become Peer Advisors for New Student Orientation (NSO), 2012!
NSO Peer Advisors are juniors, seniors and exceptional sophomores, who work throughout orientation to support Wesleyan’s faculty advising program, and enhance student access to academic resources through SARN. Basically, you’re helping very confused new students navigate through their first week of Wesleyan life!
Please urge any students who you think may be good candidates to apply, or apply yourself! A job description and application are found on-line here.
Applications, which require a faculty reference form, are due Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. Questions should be directed to the Associate Dean for Student Academic Resources, Sarah E. Lazare (x2332, slazare_at_wes).

Do you often find yourself reading pages and pages and not remembering what they were about? Do you have trouble focusing and recalling what you’ve had to read for class? Is reading just not fun for you?
Well, we can change that! Come to a Peer Advisor Workshop this Monday!!

Peer advisor workshops are open to any student on campus. We encourage all class years to participate. You should bring your schedules (or planners) and course syllabi. All workshops will be held in Usdan 136 (the room to the right of the mailboxes and next to the hidden elevator). Please ask someone at the Information Desk where the workshop is located if you can’t find it.
Workshops begin at 7:00 p.m. and end around 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The peer advisor will be available after the workshop for a few minutes for further consultation.

The Deans’ Office is looking for talented and motivated students to become SARN Peer Advisors for the 2009-2010 academic year. SARN Peer Advisors are rising juniors and seniors who work throughout the academic year to support Wesleyan’s faculty advising program and enhance student access to academic resources through the Student Academic Resource Network (SARN). Peer Advisors will receive training, give peer advice and hold sessions for groups of students regarding time management, study and exam preparation strategies. This may or may not be a paid position.
