Apply to be the Next SART Intern

From Sexual Violence Resource Coordinator Alysha Warren:

Applications for the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Intern for the 2014-2015 academic year are now being accepted. The deadline has been extended to Monday, March 31st at 5pm. The SART Intern plays a multi-functional role in sexual violence prevention, education and outreach initiatives in the Wesleyan community. The SART Intern provides trained peer support to help students navigate on and off campus resources and judicial processes. The intern also serves as a liaison among administrative and student groups engaged in sexual violence prevention and response initiatives.

Red Flag Open Mic

The Sexual Violence Action Committee wants you to speak up (and eat up):

Join us for an open mic (and some free Thai food!) to wrap up the Red Flag Campaign. The first hour will be dedicated to writing and creating and then we will invite people on stage to share their work/experiences. The central focus of the night is relationships and sexual violence. If you already have an act that you’re interested in performing, shoot an email to the SART intern Rachel Verner ’15, at rverner(at)wesleyan(dot)edu and she’ll set you up.

Having thriving relationships with others starts with caring for and understanding ourselves. Join us in a lively conversation where we will reflect, share experiences and learn new skills to create thriving relationships.

Through this workshop, we will examine and think of new ways to care for ourselves and others, gain deeper understanding of our desires, needs and boundaries, and develop effective ways to communicate and manage conflict in relationships.
