Drive Manny Drive Auditions (Senior Thesis Film)

Come audition for Matt Shelley-Reade‘s senior thesis film DRIVE MANNY DRIVE

An uninspired voyeur stuck in suburbia. A driver’s test instructor out to get him. An overzealous father. And a sports car just waiting for him to pass his test. What would it look if you couldn’t pass your driver’s test to save the life of you and what if you had the same instructor every time? This short film tells a coming of age story of a young boy facing his own anxiety.

DATES & TIMES:
WEDNESDAY, 9/28: 5pm-7pm in Usdan 110
FRIDAY, 9/30: 3pm-4pm in Boger 112

You don’t need to prepare anything for the audition, just bring yourself! We’ll have sides for people to read. Walk-ins are also welcome! If you can’t make one of these times but are still interested in auditioning, please send us a message on FB (or email mshelleyread[at]wesleyan[dot]edu) to set up a different time for an audition.

Audition for “Powerchord!” — A Senior Film Thesis

Come audition for “Powerchord!” a punk rock flavored love story to be shot in 16mm. We are looking for three instrumentally inclined actors and actresses for supporting roles.

Mark/ Supporting /Male/ 18 – 25 years old/ a wild punk drummer who dreams of nothing else but making a living playing music
Dave/ Supporting/ Male/ 18- 27/ a silent character. Dave is a somewhat mystical mysterious presence who plays bass in a punk band
Dana/ Supporting/ Female/ 18- 25/ a guitarist who’s somewhat conservative outward appearance may not show who she truly is.

Shoot Dates are tentatively set for mid October. Auditions will be Tuesday September 29th in the Center for Film Studies room 124.

Come audition for Hanna Edizel’s ’14‘s thesis! A tense thriller set amongst the Berlin turnpike’s illustrious 1960s-era motor lodges.

Auditions will be held:

  • Friday 9/27 5:30-7:30pm
  • Saturday 9/28 5:30-7:30pm

at 41 Wyllys, room 113.
All levels of experience are welcome! No preparation is necessary–casting male and female roles.

Audition for Trouble, a Senior Thesis Film

Trouble, a senior thesis film about a boy who just can’t straighten up and fly right, is looking for actors:

We need some men who look like young’uns, a woman capable of inspiring some confusing feelings in boys, and plenty of others. Come out to the Nicolson Lounge this Tuesday, October 9, between 6:00 and 8:00 to audition. No preparation is necessary, but be ready to do a cold read and sweep a broom.

Wes Film Thesis Auditions: “Better”

Leon Izsak ’12 is looking for actors for a senior thesis film!

We’re looking to cast the principle roles (one male and one female) in a lightly humorous drama.

It features a story in which two people are thwarted in their attempts to build a meaningful connection by their struggles with depression and the repercussions of modern treatment. Will our protagonist be able to leave behind his escapist fantasies and embrace the one he loves?

Feel free to bring a small piece to perform and or a picture of yourself. In any case, audition materials will be provided on site. Prior acting experience is neither expected nor required.
