From the ever-amazing Peer Health Advocates:

Get psyched for SEXQUEST, a quest for sexual health knowledge and goodies!

Participate in activities like the condom balloon toss, and collect prizes at each of the stations scattered around Foss Hill. Students who visit all eight activities will receive an additional prize, and are entered into a drawing to win a high end sex toy, such as this, this, or this.

Sex can be fun!!! :D

Sexpo, uh I mean, The Sexual Health Expo is back this Friday April 22nd! The Peer Health Advocates and WesWell want you to stop by the Exley lobby from 12-4 to learn about sexual health, promoting healthy relationships, disease and pregnancy prevention, sexual violence prevention, current political issues related to sexual and reproductive rights, and more. There will be fun interactive displays and workshops and the chance to win lots of nifty prizes. If you are part of a group that deals with sexual health in any way and want a table, contact weswell@wesleyan.edu.

Sixth Annual Sexual Health Expo & Fornication 101 by Megan Andelloux

Convened each year by WesWELL, the goal of the Sexual Health Expo is to promote sexual health and responsibility and increase student knowledge of campus health resources. A variety of issues are addressed, including promoting healthy relationships, disease and pregnancy prevention, sexual violence prevention, current political issues related to sexual and reproductive rights, and more.

We have a full day of events planned:

11:30am – Sexpo begins! Come to see displays organized by the PHAs, Davison Health Center, Planned Parenthood, Clinic Escorts, Take Back the Night, and more. Oh and don’t forget to take a picture with our giant genitalia models!
1:00pm – Talk With Me Baby Workshop
2:30pm – Wessex Workshop
4:00pm – Sexpo ends

Then at 4:15 you can go to WesKink’s How to Engage in Sex Positive Kink and/or BDSM Workshop:

In our workshop participants will learn how to start safely exploring their kinkier sides. First, participants will receive a brief introduction to what safe BDSM means. We’ll walk through general rules and resources for finding safe information, toys, and partners. Afterwards participants will get a chance to create their own negotiation checklists and practice partner negotiations. Come with questions! We’ll try our best to answer them at the end of the workshop, and if we can’t, chances are pretty good that we know where to send you to find them.

7:00pm – MEGAN ANDELLOUX will be running a Better Sex Workshop in Judd 116. She’s the expert on EVERYTHING sex. Check out her website. Whether you come to ask questions, hear her speak or purchase some sex toys, just make sure you get there!

Sexual Health Art Show Sign-Up

The Sexual Health Art Show is a new addition to this year’s Sexual Health Exposition happening in Exley Science Center on March 27th. Artwork can be of any form and material and will be displayed during the Expo.

The best piece will be chosen by students and the winner will receive $100 to Typhoon Restaurant! Sign-up is open to all students and is happening now through March 8th!

Sexual Health Expo submission glitch

Lisa Currie, Director of Health Education, wants to let you know that there have been some problems with the Sexpo proposal form:

There is a glitch with the Sexpo Proposal Form on the WesWELL website. […] I’m putting up the proposal form in a Word document that can be emailed to WesWELL instead.

If you have submitted a proposal and did not get a confirmation page (or the form simply reset), it was not received. Please re-submit it. My apologies for all this!

Sexual Health Expo 2008 wants you!

Bursting with WesWELL goodness and not content with sending us just one announcement, Rebecca Broches ’08 wrote to us regarding this year’s Sexual Health Expo:

WesWELL is looking for student organizations and individual students to help make the day a success—some ways you might get involved include tabling with educational materials, fundraising for relevant causes, educating on relevant political issues, presenting a workshop, or developing a poster presentation, but we want to hear your creative ideas as well!
