shofcoFrom SHOFCO:

Come hear 5 great bands play at Westco Cafe this Saturday and support Shofco Wesleyan at the same time!

SHOFCO is a nonprofit started by two Wesleyan alums that provides support for two tuition free schools for girls in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. It is a grass roots program and provides a network of community driven social services such as a health clinic, a women’s empowerment program and much more!

Devonaire Ortiz & Zach Berkowitz: a short guitar/singer duo

Super Defense: A Syracuse-based lo fi, slacker, indie pop band

Mom: A band named after the person who packs your lunch. Mom has played a lot of concerts recently but still makes time for you kids, because Mom loves nothing more than to make you say “Wow I really like this band”.

Bay Faction: A young, rock trio (drums, bass, guitar/vox) of students from the Berklee School of Music

Swipe Right: “A rock-and-roll band that play sound, exuberant songs about such subjects as sleeping, not being able to sleep, turning the music down, deaf great-grandparents, and 20th-century British modernists.”
