forwebsitesrlAletta Brady ’15 writes in to offer you some free pizza and other food for thought tomorrow.

Crazy, Sick, or Evil? Mental Disorder and the Modern World

Gary Greenberg will be speaking for the Silver Ribbon Luncheon (SRL) Series tomorrow. We are really excited to have him – he is a practicing psychotherapist in Connecticut who calls attention to the social nature of disease. He says that “the DSM (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) is not a medically or scientifically valid text, but rather a “strange chimerical document” whose definitions of pathology change with shifting social values–as was evidenced by homosexuality’s overlong tenure on its pages.”

Join us tomorrow in 41 Wyllys Room 113 from 12-1 for pizza and good conversation with Gary Greenberg.

Date:  Tuesday, April 1
When: at noon
Where: 41 Wyllys Room 11
