For some reason no one ever checks the box on our submission form about putting your name in this little intro blurb, so here’s something from the Silvernotes:
Calling all music people, songwriters, performers, people who sing in the shower, people who sing in other places, fans of Coldplay, Simon & Garfunkel, and Don McLean (and more!): The Silvernotes, a Wesleyan acapella group, are auditioning for new members. We welcome people of all voice parts/class years/experience levels. Come prepared with a song and some interesting facts about yourself.
Audition Dates and Times:
- Saturday, February 11, 1-3PM
- Sunday, February 12, 2-4PM
- Wednesday, February 15, 4-6PM
Place: Exley 139 (for all auditions)
Samuel Stern ’17 writes in:
Attention Wespeople! Do you sing? Are you able to carry a tune with OR without a bucket? Does the phrase “andante con moto” sound vaguely meaningful to you? If you answered “yes” to any of those, read on: the Silvernotes, currently Wesleyan’s newest acapella group, are holding auditions! If you’re free between 2 and 4 on Saturday or Sunday, or between 9 and 11 pm on Tuesday the 3rd, come by Exley 139 with a song and any music-reading skills you might have. If you’re not free at any of those times and still want to audition (especially if you’re a tenor or bass; we need that low range) then email sastern[at]wesleyan[dot]edu and we’ll see what we can do.
Dates and times:
Saturday, January 31st: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Sunday, February 1st: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Tuesday, February 3rd: 9:00pm – 11:00pm
Place: Exley, rm. 139
