Slavei Needs a Few Good Men

Slavei, one of Wesleyan’s top five co-ed Eastern European and Balkan a cappella groups, is seeking a few good men to add some bass ot the mix:

Are you a Man? Do you like to sing? Do you like feasts with heavenly food and endless cups of wine?

If you answered yes to these questions, then come to Usdan 136 Wednesday night from 6:00 – 8:00 and audition for the life changing experience known as Slavei. Last week Wesleyan’s female vocalists astounded us with their talent; this week we are looking for men. All you need to bring is your lovely self—no audition piece required.

Looking for a way to tell that special someone how much you care?? Join your favorite Eastern European a capella crew for an evening of love songs in languages you probably don’t understand! We will make the Chapel resonate with our mighty voices. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You will see Rob “The Woofer” Hallberg ’14 woofing like only he can do. You will feel significantly more hearty when you leave than when you arrived!

Come on, though. What else do you have to do? Go on a date?

Slavei Auditions

Do you like singing fun, challenging music with friendly people?

Do you like learning about other cultures?

Do you wanna be like this guy?

Come audition for Slavei, Wesleyan’s oldest and only co-ed Eastern European, Georgian, Balkan, Bulgarian, Croatian, generally awesome and occasionally not actually a cappella a cappella group!

Many supras are promised! Come to the auditions to learn what a supra is!

No need to prepare a song, just come with your voice!

Slavei Sings Songs! (tonight)

The saucy singers of Slavei sends in strange image, reminds Wes-peeps of upcoming show:

Wesleyan’s own Eastern European music troop will will be lighting up the CFA green on sunday (follow the sound of voices) with yodels, yips, chants, and whatever other sounds we can cull from the vocal traditions of the Balkans and Caucasus Georgia.

Slavei Spring Auditions

Slavei, Wesleyan’s finest Eastern European singing group, will be losing most of its male singers to graduation this May.  We’re looking for guys to step up and fill the gap.  Experience singing Georgian or Balkan music is a plus, but definitely not required.

Slavei Spring Concert

This Thursday night your friendly neighborhood Eastern European vocal group, Slavei, will present a fun mix of tunes in the science center lobby.

Come for the manly yet dulcet tones of the Georgian language. Come for the Bulgarian hard voice. Come to hear us try to pronounce words like shavgvremanisa.
