Thinking about studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country? Already planning to go abroad and have a lot of burning questions?
Come join us in the lobby of the Romance Language Building (on the corner of Court and High), TOMORROW Friday February 12th from 4:00-5:30 pm for an informal but very informative session on going abroad to a Spanish-speaking country. Meet students who have recently come back from abroad and get to know from a peer perspective what it’s like to live and study in a Spanish-speaking country. Some countries that will be represented include but are not limited to: Spain, Chile, Mexico, Argentina and more!
No matter how near or far your study abroad days seem, come on by! Plus, light snacks will be provided.
Again any time on Friday between 4:00 and 5:30 pm, you know you’re not doing anything at that time anyway, so why not chat about your study abroad dreams and doubts with someone who’s lived through it?
The Spanish Majors Committee
Date: Friday, February 12
Time: 4-5:30 pm
Place: Romance Language Building (corner of Court and High)
Ben Sachs-Hamilton ’09 is doing a production of Tirso de Molina’s “The Shy Courtier” next semester and is seeking more people to join his production crew. He describes the show and its needs:
Costume Designer and Head Carpenter Wanted!
…for next semester’s production of The Shy Courtier, a Golden Age comedy by the Spanish playwright Tirso de Molina (a contemporary of Shakespeare – think star-crossed lovers, mixed-up identities, cross-dressing, and all that good stuff). I am currently translating the play into English for my COL thesis, and would love your help putting it on in the spring. If you are interested in either of these two positions, or in helping out in any other way, please e-mail bsachshamilt@wes. Thanks, and have a great Thanksgiving!
Contact Ben for any more information.
